Libby's Christmas!

I arrived in St. George Christmas Eve and had to stop at Lin's for salad supplies and while in there I was stopped by a certain neighbor to the Blakes...Chris Kirkham. A certain Aunt Debbie had given him my number some time ago and for the past several months I have gotten random text messages from him, so you can imagine his delight to see me on Christmas Eve. After visiting awkwardly with Chris I headed out to Ivins to help with our Christmas Eve dinner of Elk steak, baked potatoes, and my ever colorful humungo salad! After dinner we were sweetened up with my oh so yummy pecan pies and REAL whip cream! As our little family tradition has been each year we meet up with the Griffens (practically family) and walked up to the Star of Ivins. We were also lucky to have stay with us this year our cousin (from Ellen's side) Ethan and his wife Libby they came and spent the Christmas Holiday with us - what a treat!!! I must have been a good girl this year because Santa gave me all that I wanted...and let me just say that you know you are getting old when you ask for house supplies?!?! I got with much delight, a Kitchen aid FABULOUS salad spinner, several Kitchen aid kitchen utensils, some knives, etc. Flint so sweetly gave me a chocolate fountain...just want everyone to know I didn't ask for that, but I think it will be fun to use at parties. I got an Ale-8 T-shirt, some pink bunny rabbit pajamas...again, didn't ask for those. I got a bunch of DVDs which is rather odd for me as well, gift certificates, and last but not least - Season 3 of The Office!!! Christmas was a huge success and surrounded by family - I'll be sentimental...surrounded by family made it complete!

Christmas

I am sure everyone is wanting to know what everone did for christmas.
Can Everyone post what they did and got!
Here is what we did:
We waited for Grandpa and Grandma Blake to come over after they watched Brenner and Joren open their presents. Legacy got fisher price sing along mirror, bouncy zebra ride on toy, A walker toy, tool bench toy, move & crawl ball, clothes from her grandma's, and a flower toy from Corban(which we wanted to get her, but no longer could find it up here). Shell got some dvds & CDs, a book with 5 novels written by Jane Austen, itunes gift card from Anisa & Ry and cash from Mom and Dad. Lucas got some vxp tools, dvds, scene it tv edition from Anisa & Ry, and sportsman's gift card from Mom and Dad. After opening all the presents we watched some dvds while Grandma and Grandpa played with Legs. Then at 4 the Scholes came over and we had christmas dinner. My first Turkey not to bad. It is the day after and all the decorations are down and we are waiting for new years.

the Office

So, last night I was flipping through channels with Brenner. We flipped past a show with Steve Carell on it. Brenner said, "Mom, go back. That's Logan & Sydney's favorite show." So, I flipped back a couple of channels. It wasn't the Office, but it was some show with Steve Carell. Needless to say, it's pretty obvious what Logan's and Sydney's favorite show is.

I-15 Travels

We headed to Santa Clara today to spend a couple of days before Christmas. It reminded me of our many travels coming south for Thanksgiving. There was one time in particular that I will never forget and therefore want to document.

Brenner was about 6 months old. Ryan was staying in Santa Clara because they had a surveying job down here. Lucas was taking the partially working Pink truck back home. Shellie was nice enough to come with me since I was alone with Brenner. It was, of course, snowing. (it always does over Thanksgiving.) We had made it to the Cove Fort exit and we had to pee tons. We were creeping along at a snail's pace. So, we got off the exit. It took us over an hour to get off the freeway, wait in line for the bathroom and get back on the freeway. By the time we got to Holden (I think), Lucas had given up. He was freezing without a heater. We left his truck off the exit and he came home with us. We had to take him back down there the next day to pick it up. It only took us about 8 hours to get home. Oh the memories!!!

What Is Christmas?

What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace. By Agnes M. Pharo

I hope that all of the Williams Clan are happy and ready for Christmas!

Love to all! Debbie

My Abercrombie Pants!

Lucas and I decided to organize our closet. As you all know Lucas has lost a lot of weight. I pulled out my favorite kaki pants, I store them becuase they are too big for me. Lucas was joking around and said he wanted to try them on. I laughed and said "No way will you be able to fit in them". Well he proved me wrong!

Like Uncle like Nephew

Joren and Lucas are so much alike. Maybe that's why Legacy and Joren are so much a like. I've been wanting to post these pics for a while now. And since no one has posted anything, I'm going to. Enjoy!

Anisa's Christmas Spirit Answers

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Wrapping paper and they must be double and triple wrapped. I can barely keep Joren from opening them as is, but there's no way I could keep him out of a gift bag.
2. REAL OR FAKE TREE? Fake, but I'm starting to see the benefit of a real tree. I'm sick of setting up the tree and fixing all the branches. However, I keep my lights on so I don't have to put them on every year, so I guess it all balances out.
3. When do you put up the tree? Mom always did on Dec. 1st, but I can't ever wait that long. Right after Thanksgiving.
4. When do you take the tree down? Day after Christmas! Must start getting ready for Joren's birthday.
5. Do you like eggnog? Yes, but has way too many calories.
6. Favorite gift received as a child? A stereo and Kenny Rogers record (I am so old)
7. Hardest person to buy for? Joren. He would rather pull all the kleenex out of the box than play with a toy.
8. Easiest person to buy for? Brenner. He wants everything and it's hard to not buy him everything.
9. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I've always liked what I've gotten.
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail, but don't make them. Just do a preset digital card.
11. Favorite Christmas Movie? I like the original christmas kid's movies with the puppets.
12. When do you start shopping for Christmas? October
13. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? NO
14. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? Hot chocolate
15. Clear lights or colored on the tree? On the tree, clear. On my house, colored.
16. Favorite Christmas song? Where are you Christmas- Faith Hill
17. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Always home on Christmas Day
18. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Yes, but only Rudolf really matters, right?
19. Angel on the tree top or a star? Both. I have an Angel on one tree and a Star on the other
20. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Santa brings presents on Christmas. Sometimes we open presents from other people early.
21. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Stress of not getting everything done.
22. What I love most about Christmas? Seeing friends we don't see all year. Going on drives to see Christmas lights. (although Brenner and Joren fight over who gets the lights out their window), the smells of Christmas, the fun decorations, etc.

Christmas Spirit - Christmas Questions!!!

Libby's Christmas Answers!!!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? Both, but if i had a cool wrapping center in my home I would wrap all the way. I love to make my gifts look pretty...but that also calls for some money?!?!
2. REAL OR FAKE TREE? Fake tree all the way. But when I get married and my husband is one of those people who insits on a real tree I will compromise and do a fake tree one year and a real tree the next! (KLINT)
3. When do you put up the tree? Day after Thanksgiving!!! Forget shopping with all the crazy's I'm in my home putting up a tree!
4. When do you take the tree down? It's becoming a New Years day tradition.
5. Do you like eggnog? I don't know...It's been so long since I've had some - I like Hot Chocolate when made with a COCOMOTION BABY!
6. Favorite gift received as a child? I wasn't quite a child anymore, but getting a trampoline was awesome!
7. Hardest person to buy for? I'd have to say Flint...but his was the first gift I bought for this year!
8. Easiest person to buy for? Me??? Gosh, I would have to say my buddy Audra.
9. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? A car windshield...who gives that as a gift...UM STIFF!!! Glad that ended! (Although I didn't like the gift it was very nice to have that paid for and out of the way before my car got inspected).
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail, Mail all the way. It's the one time a year that people are still old fashioned and send and recieve Christmas cards - I love getting them in the mail, and I love sending them!
11. Favorite Christmas Movie? A Very Brady Christmas! One Magic Christmas, and the Jim Carrey "How the Grinch Stole Christmas".
12. When do you start shopping for Christmas? In the middle of December...I wait until the last minute...that's how I work, I do well under pressure?!?!
13. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Only at party's where we had to do a white elephant gift.
14. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? HELLO - EVERYTHING!!! I do like my mom's little orderves that she makes for Christmas day!!! Yum, yum!
15. Clear lights or colored on the tree? Depends on the theme I'm going for. Someday when I have a family I want to have two trees - one with white lights for a more elegant look and one with colored lights for my kids to decorate and have fun with.
16. Favorite Christmas song? Last Christmas - any version. And I love that country Christmas song about the little boy who is buying shoes for his mom before she dies...Makes me cry everytime!!!
17. Travel at Christmas or stay home? I don't care as long as I'm with family. This year I will be traveling to St. George...big travel huh?
18. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Are there people who can't???
19. Angel on the tree top or a star? I grew up with an Angel...my tree now currently has a ribbon like thing that I hate...I just can't find the right topper - and I have been looking?!?! I do have a star that a boy gave me, but it just doesn't fit with my tree!
20. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Only one present on Christmas Eve - save the rest for Christmas Day!!!
21. Most annoying thing about this time of year? The bell ringers at the front of stores...I know it's for a good cause, but the bells, THE BELLS!!!
22. What I love most about Christmas? Being together with my family! I love also that it's the time of year that you hear from old friends and find out how they are doing - a time to catch up!!!

Okay - Get in the Christmas Spirit and copy and paste! Can't wait to hear everyones Christmas answers!!!

Uncle Michael & Aunt Rosalie's Place

Their house lights up the neighborhood! Thayne, you did a wonderful job putting these up and making their home look so beautiful this Christmas Season!!! I think Uncle Michael said they needed more lights??? Can you get on that?

Obsession

I think that we have developed an obsession for blogs. Not that it is a bad thing, I absolutely love seeing what everyone is up to, I just sort of realized it today. I think that blogs are a great way for the family to see what each other is doing. I especially love the comments! Especially when the comments are like a conversation, then they are really fun! Just a thought. Love ya all.

Egg Roll This

Shellie inspired us to start our own Sunday night dinner/get-together, so we did last week and we had Libby’s special salt chicken (Debbie would have loved it), creamed corn, and ham fried rice. This week Sydney and I made her moms sweet and sour pork, served with authentic home-made Japanese egg rolls (the recipe came from a real Japanese).

We had a fun time and we actually all fit in our tiny apartment. We all played with Trace while Libby knitted beanies and sent flirty text messages to Warren "Oooohhh". -Posted by Logan-

Resolution Blog!!!

Ok everyone, me and Libby did start a resolution blog, if you want the login and Password just shoot me a quick e-mail. The reason we created a new blog for it was because it is going to be huge and I don't want it to take away from the family blog. You can already see all are posts, and it will just keep getting bigger.
