Terek's Blessing

Nothing is set in stone yet, but we are planning Terek's baby blessing for Conference weekend in Santa Clara somewhere. There won't be church, but we will probably have it in a church. You are all invited, so mark your calendars. We'll let you know more details when we get them all hashed out!

Shellie will be running the St. George marathon that Saturday so come and cheer her on!

Ron & Debbie

Mom's hair is starting to fall out and it's making a mess everywhere. So Dad and Mom decided to shave their heads (does Dad look any different?) Hopefully mom isn't mad at me for posting this picture:)

For Grandma...

So yesterday we had Sunday Dinner at our home. First, the kids stripped down well let me re-phrase the only ones running around naked where the two wild ones Joren and Legz (Brenner is so modest he wore his swim shorts). Then Lucas sprayed them with the hose while they ran back and forth across the yard. We were trying to clean Joren and Legz off cause the had sand in there butt cracks. So after they were done with the water, we put diapers on the 2 crazy naked ones. Then Brenner, Joren, and Legz , played in the sandbox so sweetly.

Dinner Tonight

Brenner, Joren and I went to see if the farmer's market was open yet. It was... but they didn't have a lot of vegetables yet. They had zucchini, summer squash, green beans and corn. So, we decided to get most of everything for dinner tonight. If I could have the perfect meal, it would be all of my favorite vegetable dishes that granny used to make... all in one meal. And at the end of summer in Kanarraville, we usually did have all of these dishes in one meal.
Corn on the cob. (We got some for dinner)
Summer squash sauted in a lot of butter with onions. (I got some for dinner, although I will probably be the only one eating it.)

Tomatoes- either on a BLT or peeled and sliced and served with mayo, salt and pepper.
Cucumbers- either peeled and sliced into wedges dipped in homemade ranch dressing or peeled and sliced in a dish with sliced onions and salt (the later is totally what I would prefer)
Green Beans- Either the soup with bacon. Or the soup with ham, onion, and red potatoes (I am making this for dinner)
Kohlrabi- I like it raw, peeled and sliced with salt. But I do remember Granny making it cooked in a cream sauce for Papa (also good).

Last but not least, is the delicious peas with new potatoes in a cream sauce.
I wish I could have all of these in one meal, but we'll settle for the few yummy veggies that we are having tonight!
Leave a comment and tell me which dish of Granny's is your favorite or add to what I forgot. (And those of you who live close enough to eat Uncle Michael's and Aunt Rosalie's yummy garden, don't make me jealous)

The Camera

Let me tell you a story about my camera. Spring break 07 in Florida I decided I needed a camera. we find a Best Buy they have this sweet camera on display that's waterproof I think how awesome a waterproof digital camera that's the one I want.

The camera has been great it has surived the swiming on the beaches of Florida, the snorkling in the reefs of the keys, multiple rafting trips on the wild rivers of Utah, and Sydney's fish bowl. But a blow up above the ground pool in Monroe, Utah was it's undoing. When I placed it in the water and saw bubbles rise from the lens cover I knew something had gone wrong. It wouldn't turn on and there was water in with the battery. We let it dry out and it would turn on but the pictures were cloudy.

To make a long Libby story short we took it to Best Buy and luckly I had the reciept, because they couldn't find record of my warranty on thier system. They sent my camera away and i hope it gets replaced by the 9th of this month. Moral of the story: warranties are good if you're going to use the product in hazardous places like Kristy's pool. -Logan
