No more blue flowered wallpaper!

Last weekend there was a dance at the cobble crest.  So, I thought it would be fun to go... and of course work on the house too!  Libby met us at Granny's Friday night and we spent the whole evening scraping wallpaper off the walls.  Ryan and I went to the dance while Libby babysat and scraped some more (thanks for baby-sitting Libby).  Then, the next morning Ryan and I scraped some more.  Thanks to my awesome hubby, the room is almost ready for a coat of primer.  Here are a few during and after pix!

Don't worry, Cash cut off a few pieces that we can frame for memories' sake!
(if only we could get rid of the chimney)

My poor right hand still hasn't recovered from scraping...

Making Progress

Libby and I have BIG DREAMS... alas, this is what we've accomplished so far.... It's looking good:)
Living Room

Master Bedroom (Papa's room)

Bathroom

The Girl Room
Kitchen... needs the most work, but seems like the most work:(

The yard is really looking much better... Cash found the buried sidewalk... it would be nice to get some more grass planted.
Doesn't this look fun???  Anyone is welcome to scrape wallpaper any time they want.

Before Pictures

Here are some before pictures of the big task Anisa and Libby (and anyone else who has a desire...) have taken upon themselves to fix, and redecorate.  Lord, help them! ;)
As we go along and improve the house we'll post pictures.  So stay tuned.....

Jon Chesley Williams

On Jan. 18th 2012, we lost a brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Jon Chesley Williams was born Jan. 27th 1945 in Cedar City, UT to Chester Dunford and Carma Davis Williams.

He was raised in Kanarraville and attended grade school there. He graduated from Cedar High School in 1963 and went on to receive his BA in communications at CSU (now SUU). He did graduate work in Telecommunications at George Washington University. He also earned his paralegal certificate while living in Denver.

Chelsey married Jane Mortensen in 1970 in Las Vegas, Nev. They had one son, Jeremy Patrick Williams. Jeremy passed away in June of 2011 from brain cancer. Ches and Jane were later divorced.

Ches found joy in working at US West. He enjoyed traveling and lived in many different states. He met and associated with many wonderful people from all walks of life. He enjoyed volunteering, gardening and visiting with friends and family. He helped with many projects for human and animal rights. His life would not be complete without one of his beloved pets by his side.

When he retired in 2000, he returned to Kanarraville and lived with his mother. Ches was a friend to many. We are grateful that he has now found peace and is free from pain.

He is survived by his siblings, Michael (Rosalie) Williams of Kanarraville, Deborah (Ronald) Blake of Ivins, and Jeffrey (Ellen) Williams of Ivins, many nieces and nephews, cousins, and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Jeremy. A celebration of life will be held at the Kanarra Town Hall on Sat. Jan. 28th 2012 at 2:00 p.m.
