Easter Sunday Barbeque/Pot Luck

The Barbque on Easter Sunday seems to be set at 4:00 pm, but is that good for everyone. Family that come down from Salt Lake have to leave before this to make it home at a decent hour to start work Monday morning. We should vote and comment for a better time that is good for all. - Logan

Libby, Sunday at 4:00 is way too late for us. We would just eat and run. If you want us to visit with our family, you would have to have it earlier!

Also, what time is Aaron going home?

If Libby has to work on Saturday, we could do it a little later than 4:00. We could also do some stuff earlier (4-wheel, shoot, etc.) and then do dinner for those who can't do the all day thing.

I never once said 4:00pm. I was planning on 1:00pm on Sunday because I knew that people from SLC were going to be heading home on Sunday. If you would be patient and wait for me to send out information...Also Aaron and Kim won't be here until Saturday night sometime. You know what, we don't even need to do this...If you all are going to be like this. I just thought it would be nice to actually get the family together! I'm sorry I ever took this upon myself!

All I was saying is that they're needs to be some communication of this. Nobody knew what was going on and no one said when Aaron and Kim would be in town, until now. If we all get along and work together I think we could make a great event that everyone can be there, and enjoy. That is the reason for the post and the voting poll. I think it worked as far as getting the information out there, and available for the general public. Blogs are meant to inform people about what is happening. The main reason we started the blog was to inform all the cousins of the important events that were and are coming up. It would save a lot of trouble and hurt feelings if this was addressed from the beginning. Libby you don’t need to spend your money and send everyone and invitation especially those of us who read the blogs on a regular basis, though the thought is very nice and your kindness is appreciated. I admit I am a smart #$$ sometimes, but as my mother says take what I say with a grain of salt and look for the important part of the message. We need some further input from everyone and let’s make a time that will work for everyone this includes Aaron and Kim. I know Aaron and Kim can get on the blog they’ve done it before why don’t they do it now. - Logan

Couldn't have said it better myself - Thanks Logan - We were just trying to make it so everyone could come and the folks from Salt Lake could visit for more than 5 minutes

Dear Libby, now you know how I felt when I was doing the newsletter. I REALLY appeciate you for taking on the task of keeping us together. I will gladly pay for stamps and the other costs ALL THE TIME!!
Any time is fine with me. I'll even skip church for the get-together!!

Logan, by all means take care of this bbq. I'm done with it. Show up if you want. And the whole bit about the blogging being a place to inform everyone...well it doesn't inform everyone, and this really should just be turned into the Blake Family Blog because that is all who really gets on here. Oh, poor libby, but you know what, seriously this is not fun any more.

As for the bbq I'm sure we'll be doing a bbq on Easter weekend cause it was already in the plans, but I'm to the point that whoever wants to show up can, and if it doesn't fit your special time frame then don't come.

Also, I don't know if I made it clear enough - BUT WE CAN'T DO SATURDAY because Aaron and Kim won't be here - it's not because I can't come, or that's what Libby chose. Heck, I hope I have other plans for the weekend that take me out of the state.

Enough said, It's been fun!

Oh and by the way - My church is at 1:00pm on Sunday's...hmmm...look who's missing church to spend time with family??? Maybe I should go to church instead!

Now don't get mad Libby, but calm down. No one is ambushing you, and if you stop and think about it, the SLC people have a legitimate concern.

People! Do we need to put a ban on logan and libby commenting on each other? Its a month away for hell sakes. Chill out! Well have a bbq and it will be fun and everyone will get to see each other. Its hard to plan when right now because aaron and kim have chenged when they are coming a few times already, and yes kim can get on and blog because i get forwards from her on a daily basis. Everyone chill out or ill take over and this bbq will turn into looking for deer sheds while knawing on a peice of jerky! Family!

As Cash would Say "WHAT IN THE HELL IS GOING ON". People it is a dang BBQ. Why all the hate? Calm down, this a mole hill and it has been made into a moutain. I like the idea of looking for Deer sheds and eating Jerky idea.

I love how many comments are on this one blog. I don't mind missing church to go to a family bbq, no one would notice that I was gone anyway. I'm all for the bbq at 1:00 or earlier!

Logan, I love you dearly, but Libby was really planning this BBQ, so you should just let her do it. The original plan of Sunday at 1:00 is perfect for us. That way we kind of have a shorter drive home.

Libby, let me know if you need any help and what you want us to bring.

At times like this, I just have to think about Papa and Granny. Do you guys remember how sweet Papa was all the time? My kids would have loved him so much. Joren and Brenner would love to sit on his lap and have him read him books and they both would have loved to ride horses with him.

On the other hand, I think that most of us in this family got more of Granny's personality... we are all a bunch of spit fires! Just remember that we are family and no matter how much we bicker we still love each other way deep down and we really do want to get together and see each other. I can't think of a better way to spend Easter weekend!

Logan was not trying to Plan the BBQ. He was only trying to find out if their was a better time to do this thing...Which I thought was nice, cause we all wanted to be there...But now that it is at 1:00 it is fine. So how about we all drop it. And plan on showing up.
